Phoenix 2014 Chevrolet Sonic Material | Sonic Review

Welcome to Midway Chevrolet's Sonic Review

If I had to call out one car that is consistently overlooked but shouldn't be, I'd name the Chevy Sonic. While it's done quite well for the brand, it's not the absolute best-seller it should be. As far as small cars go, it's inexpensive yet reliable, and stuffed with more tech and safety features than most cars twice its price. The 2013 Chevy Sonic received major improvements like a brand-new performance model dubbed RS, tech upgrades like Chevy's MyLink infotainment system, and extra cabin amenities. In 2014, the Sonic continues to add to its repertoire with a standard rearview camera on LTZ and RS trim levels, new package options and sleek new colors like Red Hot, Ashen Gray Metallic and Cool Blue.

The 2014 Chevy Sonic is available as either a hatchback or sedan in LS, LTZ and RS (RS is hatchback only) models. A 1.8-liter engine with 138 horsepower and 125 lb.-ft. of torque is the standard engine on all trims save the RS, which gets a turbocharged 1.4-liter powerhouse with equal horsepower but greater torque (148 lb.-ft.). A manual transmission is standard, but Chevy Sonic buyers in Phoenix can opt for an automatic, if desired.

Young, modern and stylish, the Sonic comes with features, amenities and technologies, like: keyless entry, a six-speaker audio system, climate control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, cloth or vinyl upholstery, Bluetooth, the Chevy MyLink infotainment system, satellite radio, iPod/USB connectivity, and available safety features like lane departure warning and forward collision alert.

Last year, the Sonic was named by J.D. Power and Associates as having the highest-ranked vehicle appeal among subcompact car owners.
