For the 2016 model year, the Chevy Traverse receives minor updates. Two fresh paint colors: Black Metallic and Iridescent Pearl, have joined the color palette and new 20-inch aluminum wheel designs are featured on all models. In an attempt to take the crossover's tech offerings up a notch this year, the 2016 Chevy Traverse in Phoenix offers OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot. Drivers can take advantage of a three month/3GB data trial to test out the system before subscribing for the full service. Aside from this beneficial tech boost, all LT models are now available with a Leather and Driver Confidence Package. Offering eight-way power driver and passenger seats, leather seating, a power-folding driver-side mirror with integrated turn signals, Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert, the package delivers a premium driving experience Chevy fans will be pleased with.
All three Chevy Traverse models come equipped with a 3.6L V-6 engine. On LS and LT models, the V6 comes with a single exhaust and generates 281 horsepower and 266 lb.-ft. of torque. On LTZ variants, it sports dual exhaust and produces 288 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. Thanks to its use of direct injection, the engine also has the ability to produce power similar to a V-8 engine. A six-speed automatic transmission supports the V-6 and helps the 2016 Chevy Traverse in Phoenix deliver optimal performance.
