What's New for the 2019 Chevy Camaro?

For the 2019 model year, the Chevy Camaro has updated its overall lineup. Joining the lineup is the 3LT Coupe and 3LT Convertible models. On the exterior, the Camaro receives new front fascias for the LT, LS, and RS models. Also, the Camaro SS gets a new front fascia with a polished black grille. At the rear of the Camaro, the LS and LT models will receive LED tail lights with red lenses. The SS and the ZL1 models receive tail lights with dark-tinted lenses.

Finally, the Camaro receives three new exterior paint options - Satin Steel Gray Metallic, Shadow Gray Metallic, and Riverside Blue Metallic. On the interior, the 2019 Camaro receives a third generation infotainment system known as Chevrolet Infotainment 3. Also, a rear camera mirror is added to the 2SS and ZL1 models. Finally, the ambient lighting system receives new blended color choices throughout the cabin.

There are seven trims available for the 2019 model year on the Chevy Camaro. The base 1LS trim offers the following key features: Front bucket seats, 6-speaker audio system, Body-color power outside mirrors, 245/50R18 all-season, blackwall tires, integral rear window antenna, Single-zone automatic climate control and Interior lighting. The 1LT model offers many of the features found on the 1LS model plus SiriusXM® Radio trial, 18-inch Silver-painted aluminum wheels, and 6-way power front passenger seat. The 2LT trim offers many features found on the 1LT trim plus Dual-zone automatic climate control, Heated driver and front passenger seats, and Ventilated driver and front passenger seats. The 3LT trim offers many of the features found on the 2LT trim plus Bose® premium 9-speaker audio system, Inside rearview auto-dimming mirror Driver and front passenger visors with illuminated mirrors.

The 1SS trim offers many of the features found on the 3LT trim plus Rear stanchion spoiler, 245/40ZR20 front and 275/35ZR20 rear blackwall, summer-only run-flat tires and 20-inch bright, 5-spoke, Silver-painted aluminum wheels with summer-only tires. The 2SS offers many of the features found on the 1SS trim plus Rear Park Assist, Head-Up Display, body-color heated, driver-side auto-dimming power outside mirrors, Bose® premium 9-speaker audio system, Interior spectrum lighting, Inside rearview auto-dimming mirror, Illuminated sill plates, and seat memory settings. The top-of-the-line ZL1 offers many of the features found on the 2SS trim plus Magnetic Ride Control, RECARO® performance front bucket seats, Goodyear® Eagle® F1 SuperCar G:2 285/30R20 front and 305/30R20 rear, summer-only tires, 20-inch Dark Graphite premium paint, forged aluminum wheels with summer-only tires, Sueded microfiber-wrapped steering wheel and wireless charging.

What's Under the Hood of the 2019 Camaro?

For those who want V-6 power, there is the optional 3.6 Liter V-6 engine that offers up to 335 horsepower and 284 foot-pounds of torque. For those who love large V8 power, there is the optional 6.2 Liter V8 DI engine that offers up to 455 horsepower and 455 foot-pounds of torque. Finally, for those who want the ultimate performance, there is the top-of-the-line 6.2 Liter Supercharged V8 DI engine that offers an incredible 650 horsepower and 650 foot-pounds of torque. In 0 to 60 acceleration tests, the 6.2 Liter V8 Camaro is able to achieve 3.5 seconds, 0-60.
