
The Chevy Trax is returning to Phoenix this fall with several changes. The 2017 edition of the compact SUV is refreshed inside and out, with a new design, updated cockpit, fresh infotainment tech and new active safety features.
Cabin Design & Infotainment
Inside, Trax is techier and more luxurious. The instrument panel has been redesigned and now includes Chevrolet’s 7-inch-diagonal MyLink interface with a color display. There’s also an all-new instrument cluster featuring a large speedometer and tachometer. The latest in smartphone integration technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, are available along with an optional 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Other notable new options include keyless entry and ignition.
Exterior Design
The 2017 Trax features all-new front and rear fascias. Taking on some of the styling cues of the new Malibu and other brand siblings, Trax includes Chevrolet’s signature dual-port grille and sleek headlamp styling, along with new rear dual taillamps. Added Safety Features
Several active safety features have been introduced on the 2017 Chevy Trax, including available Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Alert. These technologies complement the car’s standard safety features, like its 10 airbags and rearview camera.
New Premier Trim Level
When the 2017 Chevrolet Trax goes on sale in Phoenix this fall. Trim levels will include the Trax LS, Trax LT and all-new Trax Premier. The new Premier model comes with added enhancements like front and rear lights with LED signature lighting and new 18-inch aluminum wheels, as well as contrasting-color instrument panel trim on the interior, which matches the SUV’s seat trim.
Turbo Ecotec Engine Returns
Continuing to power the Trax, a 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec engine comes under the hood and it’s attached to a six-speed automatic that sends power to your choice of a front- or all-wheel-drive system.
