    • Make sure you buy an extended warranty

The 5th Honda in our family and 3rd Pilot, and unfortunately our last. Despite great styling, lots of good features (which requires the ‘Elite’ model), very comfortable ride, and surprisingly good fuel economy, that legendary Japanese reliability has clearly faded. At just over 50K miles the fuel injectors needed replacing - a $1500 repair if we hadn’t bought the $1700 extended warranty, and at just over 60K miles the A/C compressor failed (on a boiling hot day while we were out of state of course) which was a $2000 repair without the warranty.

Honda needs to figure out there infotainment problem. Loud popping and crackle noise from the speakers sounds like the windshield is cracking. Does it with the radio and climate control off or on. Completely annoying and Honda does not have a solution. The noise is LOUD, not enjoyable to drive in. Do not recommend

Traded our 2019 pilot touring with 9000 miles on it. Cracking and piping noise in the dash couldn’t be fixed. In the shop three times in one year and the sound always come back. Won’t ever buy another Honda. Lost a lot of money trading in new car, but was worth it to be rid of it.
