Slight but beneficial updates have been made to the Chevy Impala for 2016. Last year's model proved to be a huge hit with fans and critics, and to keep the praise coming, Chevy kept all of the same popular features for 2016 and made minor enhancements to further improve the model. Entertainment technology, safety functions and fuel efficiency continue to be significant parts of the 2016 Chevy Impala's appeal; however, it also offers more capabilities this year, features new exterior paint options and has introduced a brand-new available model: Impala Midnight Edition. While styling on the Chevy Impala stays the same for 2016, the sedan's exterior paint color options have expanded. Coming into the new model year, buyers will now be able to coat their Impala in Heather Gray Metallic, Siren Red Tintcoat, Citron Green Metallic, Green Envy Metallic and Mosaic Black Metallic. In addition to these fresh choices, the LT models are no longer available with sueded cloth interiors and have gained optional leather as a replacement. Further changes to the 2016 Chevy Impala in Phoenix include wireless charging capability and Apple CarPlay capability, which will allow driver's to utilize smartphone functions in the vehicle via the car's infotainment system.
Offered on the LT and LTZ models, Chevy's new Impala Midnight Edition is set to be a popular addition to the lineup. It will come with an all-black exterior and sport 19-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels, a black grille and surround, black Chevy bowties, a black rear spoiler and sport pedals. A 3.6L V-6 engine, delivering 305 horsepower and 264 lb.-ft. of torque, will power the special model. All other 2016 Chevy Impala in Phoenix models will come with a standard 2.5L iVLC engine, producing 196 horsepower and 186 lb.-ft. of torque. However, both engines will be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
