Longtime fans of the Chevy Tahoe will be pleased to know the SUV is returning for 2016 with an assortment of fresh updates. The popular model, which was completely redesigned for 2015, is offering all of the same features available on last year's model, as well as a multitude of new components and upgraded technologies. An EcoTec 5.3L V-8 engine equipped with direct injection, continuously variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation powers the 2016 Chevy Tahoe in Phoenix. It outputs 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque, while working alongside a six-speed automatic transmission. Fit to deliver top-notch performance, the Hydra-Matic 6L80 transmission comes with Auto Grade Braking, TapShift Control and a Tow/Haul mode. It also helps the Tahoe achieve an EPA-estimated 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway, which are better ratings than those found on the 2015 model.
The 2016 Chevy Tahoe in Phoenix has received several updates this year. Two new exterior colors: Iridescent Pearl Tricoat and Siren Red Tintcoat are now a part of the color palette, giving buyers more options to choose from. For 2016, the full-size SUV is also being offered with an enhanced Driver Alert Package, which comes with Safety Alert Seat, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, power-adjustable pedals and IntelliBeam headlights. Enhanced Chevrolet MyLink with smartphone integration and Apple CarPlay capability has also been included on the model. Lastly, a head-up display with digital readouts is now an available option and can improve the in-car experience.
