The Chevy Trax has Three Trims & Countless Features for 2019

The 2019 Chevy Trax is split into three trim levels: the LS, the LT, and the Premier. This small crossover has two rows of seats to accommodate up to five people. Passenger volume is measured at 92.8 cubic feet and standard cargo volume is measured at 18.7 cubic feet, with the ability to fold down the rear seats to expand it to 48.4 cubic feet. Base-level comfort and convenience features on the Trax include remote keyless entry, a 3.5-inch driver information center, the OnStar communications system, a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE Internet access, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, a six-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration, and a Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system represented by a 7-inch color touchscreen.

At the LT trim level, Chevrolet adds cruise control, remote start, and a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio. Unique to the Premier trim are a power sunroof, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, front-seat heating capability, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leatherette seat trim, keyless open and start ability instead of just remote keyless entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror to dim headlight glare from behind you, and a seven-speaker Bose audio system in place of the six-speaker.

Chevy Trax Performance

2019 Chevy Trax Exterior FrontUnder the hood of the 2019 Chevy Trax is a 1.4-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine, which generates 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. The engine is hitched to a 6-speed automatic transmission. With its front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout, the Trax gets as much as 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. However, if you want to increase your chances of avoiding slippage on surfaces compromised by ice, rain, or snow, go for the all-wheel-drive option instead.

Affordability and Packed with Safety Features Galore

2019 Chevy Trax Exterior RearThe 2019 Chevy Trax standard safety features include a rear vision camera, StabiliTrak (for electronic vehicle stability and traction control), an anti-lock braking system, daytime running lamps, a theft-deterrent system, and 10 airbags (dual front impact, dual front-occupant knee, dual front seat-mounted side-impact, and two front and two rear roof-mounted side curtain airbags). On the LT and Premier, brighter and longer-lasting LEDs replace the halogen light bulbs in the daytime running lamps. Exclusive to the Premier are rear park assist, forward collision alert, side blind zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alert.
