What's New For the 2020 Chevrolet Spark?

The 2020 Chevrolet Spark is the newest Chevy vehicle to debut and the latest to be introduced into the Spark model series. Although Spark is a brand new vehicle, it does not come with any real changes for this year. It is, however, filled with optional high-tech features and is also a part of the second generation of Spark vehicles.

What are the Chevy Spark Trims & Features?

The 2020 Spark offers four trims: the LS, 1LT, 2LT, and the Activ. The LS is the standard base trim and comes with standard features like air conditioning, a rearview camera, and a four-speaker audio system.

The 1LT is the next trim level up and adds in alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and a six-speaker audio system. The 2LT brings in some more features such as rear parking sensors, heated front seats, chrome door handles, and a special push-button startup feature. The Activ is the most advanced of the trims and comes with 15-inch wheels, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and special roof rails.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance

2020 Chevrolet SparkThe 2020 Chevrolet Spark is equipped with a sturdy engine that can deliver on its output and strength respective to the vehicle. The engine operates on an automatic transmission that has a continuously variable speed rating, along with the front-wheel-drive and inline 4-cylinders on the engine's interior. The car's engine runs on a very modest 98 horsepower rating and can pump out only 94 feet per pound of torque when the car is in motion. It runs on regular unleaded fuel but can only carry up to nine gallons of gasoline at once.

The 2020 Spark has a Long List of Safety Features

2020 Chevrolet SparkThe Chevrolet Spark is made to be safe and comes with a ton of safety features to ensure it is a smooth and secure ride for all. The Spark can seat only four people inside, but they are protected, first with the inclusion of rear door safety locks and child seat anchors, especially for any younger passengers. A lane departure warning system is one of the big safety features included in this model, and the system simply alerts drivers when the car begins sensing that they are drifting out of their designated driving lane.

Stability and traction control have all been improved, as seen in the inclusion of a new 4-wheel ABS system and an engine immobilizer that keeps the engine in place and well heated. An emergency braking assist feature is included in the event of brake damage or failure, and the driver needs to make an abrupt stop. There are also dusk sensing headlamps that regularly adjust to the time of day, as well as daytime running lights that operate at all times of the day and for viewing in murky conditions.
