Chevrolet Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
Warning indicators on the instrument panel of your vehicle are Chevy's way of letting your vehicle communicate its condition to you. Some warning lights simply remind you to get service; others might indicate that your engine is in danger of being damaged. We're here to cover all of the major warning light indicators for you so that you'll know how to respond to each one.

Airbag Fault
Airbags have been saving lives in Chevy vehicles for decades now, and we're glad they're there. Sometimes the system malfunctions, though. If something is wrong with your airbags, an Airbag Fault light might be activated. Sometimes it's a false alarm; other times, it means that something needs to be serviced on your airbag system.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
This one is a relatively common one. If your car gets low on fuel, you'll face this light. It simply means to head to a gas station and get that tank up higher.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
It's important to keep enough clean oil in your vehicle. An oil pressure light means that you may not have enough oil in your vehicle. If this is the case, call our dealership to get an oil change as soon as possible. You can always add more oil yourself, but we recommend going the whole nine yards for your Chevy and getting a full oil change.

Service Vehicle Soon
Your vehicle has a maintenance schedule that's recommended by automakers and experts on your vehicle's systems. If you need a tire rotation, oil change, or other routine services, modern vehicles will let you know with this light.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
Tires require the right amount of air to provide you the traction and firm grip on the road that you need. Deflated tires put you at risk of an accident. If you see this light, it's a sign that your tires need air. If the light doesn't go off after you refill your tires, it could be a faulty light.

Slip Indicator
The Traction Control (TRAC) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) systems help your vehicle maintain traction on the road. If anything goes wrong with these systems, the Slip Indicator light might come on. If you see this light remaining lit, call our Chevy service team immediately.

Charging System Warning Light
Electrical systems are incredibly complex, and that includes the battery of your vehicle. If the Charging System warning light comes on, it can mean several things, such as bad wiring or even a problem with your fan belt. Contact our dealership to address the issue.

Brake System
If your brakes malfunction (most Chevy vehicles have ABS), then the brake system light might come on. This is a sure sign to call us for a service appointment. Don't take chances with the braking system!

Open Door Warning Light
If this light comes on, it means a door or your trunk is open in your vehicle. Check all doors are closed securely before driving.

Coolant Level Warning
Coolant protects your engine and other components from overheating. If coolant is low, replenish your coolant. If the light remains on, contact Midway Chevrolet for a service appointment.
