In a competitive class of SUVs, the Chevrolet Equinox holds its own. Characterized by bold chrome accents, chiseled contours, and an overall upscale finish, there's much to enjoy about the Equinox at first glance. But a look inside the vehicle's interior shows there is even more. The Chevrolet Equinox is equipped with new technology features this year. All trim levels also get more standard safety equipment.
There are still four trim levels of the Equinox in 2020. However, you'll get a broader selection of accessories and packages across the trims than before. This year's Equinox has plenty of cabin comfort and technology to make your rides more comfortable and connected, regardless of where you are headed. With 63.9 cubic feet of cargo space, towing capacity up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped, and seating capacity for five adults, the Equinox will confidently take you and your gear on any weekend outing. A diverse palette of 10 paint colors, award-winning safety features, and class-leading dependability make the Equinox an SUV that you'll want to try out.
The 2020 Equinox is produced in four trims. They start with the base model called the L. Technology, which is generous even at the base level, includes a 12V auxiliary charging outlet in the front passenger row and another one in the back. A 3.5-inch color driver's information center keeps you updated on your vehicle's performance and vitals. It also alerts you if there are any problems with the car. The standard six-speaker audio system provides high-quality sound, while standard active noise cancellation makes it easier to listen to your favorite tunes. All trims are set up for a 4G WiFi hotspot connection.
Bluetooth is standard on all trims, too. The LS and LT have many of the same standard amenities. You can customize the appearance of both with a blackout package. A slightly larger driver's information center is standard on these trims. A series of all-weather items, including floor mats, a cargo mat, and floor liners, come standard. Although the seven-inch infotainment touchscreen is still standard, you can upgrade to a larger eight-inch screen if you desire. Dual-zone AC and embroidered seats are available as well. The Premier, which is the top trim level of the Equinox, gets a standard 120V charging port. A higher-end audio system is available on this trim. You can also order a more advanced infotainment system that includes navigation and satellite radio. Dual-zone air conditioning and an HD backup camera are other notable amenities
.The 2020 Equinox has two engine options. Both are turbocharged. The base engine's maximum power capability is 170 horsepower. This engine comes with an automatic transmission that has six speeds. The base engine yields a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. The second engine produces 252 HP. It can tow up to 3,500 pounds. This engine gets a nine-speed transmission.
Equipped with passive and active safety features, the Equinox gets a five-star overall crash test rating. Airbags, forward collision alert, pedestrian braking, and following distance warning are some standout innovative safety tools in the 2020 Chevy Equinox.
