2021 Chevrolet Suburban

What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban?

The Chevrolet Suburban is virtually an all-new vehicle in the 2021 model year. The Suburban gets a wholly refreshed exterior appearance, and it also gets an updated interior with more space, storage capacity, and technology than before. This year's Suburban is built on the same platform as the Chevy Silverado 1500. The shared platform extends the Suburban's wheelbase and creates over 20 more cubic feet in the trunk for even higher cargo capacity.

Consumers want the latest technology to find it in the Suburban, which is now equipped with a 10.2-inch display screen on all trims, which is one of the largest in its class. The Suburban seats seven or eight, as before. There are multiple trims and a choice of gasoline or diesel engine in the 2021 Suburban.

2021 Suburban Is Impressive No Matter Which Trim You Choose

There are seats for eight occupants in the base trim, which is the LS. You can get a three-seat bench in the front row rather than two seats, as is standard. The LS trim's infotainment system supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and smartphone integration. It has some standard driver-assist safety technology and a bold exterior characterized by 18-inch wheels and LED headlights. The LT adds a Bose sound system with nine speakers. It also has an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, and wireless charging capabilities.

The next trim, which is the RST, has a sportier look with 22-inch wheels, contrast stitching on the seats, and a unique fascia. The Z71 has higher ground clearance, front skid plates, and tow hooks. The Premier has different shock absorbers for a smoother and more comfortable ride. It also has ventilated seats. A bronze-coated grille characterizes the High Country, which also has a 360-degree parking camera.

How Well Does the 2021 Chevy Suburban Perform?

A smooth-shifting 10-speed transmission is standard on all Suburban models. The standard gasoline engine is a V8 with a power output that reaches 355 HP and 383 maximum LB-FT in torque. The second engine, standard on the High Country, produces 420 HP and an increased 460 LB-FT in torque. The diesel engine, which is turbo-charged, is available on all trim levels.

Suburban Has an Abundance of Safety Features

All trims have forward collision mitigation, but the higher-level Suburban trims add some additional safety amenities. Hill descent control is included on the Z71, and the Premier adds blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist. A pedestrian detection system is standard in the High Country.
