What's New for the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD?

A few updates were made to the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado lineup. Chevy's popular Multi-Flex tailgate is now available on all trims. A new Greenstone Metallic paint color has arrived as well.

2022 Silverado HD Trims & Features

Chevy offers the Silverado HD in five trims: Work Truck (WT), Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country. The base Work Truck trim is specifically built for the everyday grind. While on the job, you'll be surrounded by great features. A 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a Rear-Vision camera, and USB ports all come standard.

Outfitted with 20-inch machined aluminum wheels and LED taillights, the Custom trim has a sportier look. It also adds cruise control and keyless entry.

The mid-level LT trim remains a popular pick. It brings a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen, a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, and steering wheel-mounted controls.

Expect the LTZ trim to offer a more luxurious driving experience. Perforated leather seat upholstery gives its cabin a more upscale feel. Dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats take comfort to the next stage. Drivers will especially appreciate Chevy's Digital Variable Steering Assist feature, making the truck easier to maneuver in tight spots. Other notable upgrades include a high-definition Rear Vision Camera, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and satellite radio.

Atop the range sits the Silverado HD High Country. Chrome side steps and an exclusive grille bolster its curb appeal. More niceties are found on the inside, including a Bose premium sound system and ventilated front seats.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD Horsepower

When preparing to test drive the 2022 Chevy Silverado HD, you'll have two brawny powertrains to choose from. A 6.6-liter gasoline V8 engine comes standard. It musters up 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. Drivers who need more muscle for towing can upgrade to a 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8 engine. Output increases to 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. A capable 4X4 drivetrain is optional.

A number of cutting-edge safety technologies are available. The Silverado HD can provide up to 15 camera views, which is more than any competitor.
