2018 Chevy Corvette Overview

The 2018 model year marks the 65th anniversary of the Chevy Corvette, and to honor this milestone, buyers can now outfit the Corvette GS and Corvette Z06 models with a brand-new Carbon 65 Edition package. On top of this addition, the Corvette receives a number of new features across the lineup, including several technologies that aim to improve the overall driving experience.

New Corvette Features

The 2018 Chevy Corvette in Phoenix is available in several models: the Corvette Stingray, Corvette GS and Corvette Z06. Each of these trims are offered in three grades. The Stingray and GS come on 1LT, 2LT and 3LT trims, while the Z06 comes in 1LTZ, 2LTZ and 3LTZ.

On all models, a Spice Red interior, Spice Red convertible top, Head-Up Display rotation setting, standard HD digital radio, an improved rearview camera image, a Performance Data Recorder/Cosworth Toolbox and a Jet Black sueded-wrapped interior are now available. On the standard Stingray, you can also choose from five new wheel options and take advantage of Magnetic Ride Control, a stand-alone option.

The Carbon 65 Edition, offered on the GS and Z06, comes with a new carbon fiber spoiler, Ceramic Matrix Gray exterior color, carbon fiber-rimmed steering wheel and a special identification number.

2018 Chevy Corvette Engine Options

The standard 2018 Chevy Corvette in Phoenix is equipped with a LT1 6.2L V8, delivering 455 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. Buyers can choose to pair the engine with either a seven-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. Step up to the GS model and you get a LT1 V8 engine, producing 460 horsepower. The Z06 is the fastest of them all thanks to a LT4 supercharged 6.2L V8, generating 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque.

What Safety Equipment Is on the 2018 Chevy Corvette?

You'll find that all Corvette models are complete with four standard air bags, side-impact air bags, four-wheel disc brakes, safety belt pretensioners, Active Handling with electronic stability control, a rear-vision camera and a Tire pressure monitoring system. Noted in many 2018 Chevy Corvette reviews, the standard Stingray is also available with front curb-view cameras.
